The best attendance is when your ladies tournament is grouped into a major tournament series. (i.e., World Poker Open, Winning O' The Green, Shooting Star, Fall Classic, State Championships, World Series, etc.) However, it is critical that it is featured in all your advertising. Stand alone events work well too.... especially if you have a good female player base.
Set the Buy-In between $100 - $500 buy in plus fees. $10 per player will be paid to LIPS. It will allow more women to play if it's affordable, yet still a bit more than your average in house event.
$1,300 pulled from the prize pool off the top for two events. $500 for LIPS Tour Grand Championship Seat & $800 for seat and luncheon to the WiPHOF Ladies event.
Winner will be responsible of their own transportation and accommodations for the events.
ALSO, we have discovered an excellent way to add to the dealers toke.... We add an offer of a 500 chip for $5 before the first deal... the players are happy for the advantage, and the dealers get some added toke!
Make the day special! If it's a buffet, heavy appetizers, special prizes, anything "special" it will be a very memorable day for the ladies!
